When conceptualising the interior design concept for this project, we looked at KLGCC branding guidelines. We picked up keywords which suited the interior design concept such as ‘legacy’, ‘tradition’, ‘dynamic’ after which we created a trademark pattern that would be unique to SDCC. This recurring element would be an elegant interpretation of what is SDCC.

Objects of beauty such as the cucuk sanggul a headgear/accessory common to all races in Malaysia then became a source of inspiration to guide us through the interiors of the space. The elegance of this pattern which in its contemporary form, will guide and provide a sense of control to the interiors of all spaces.

It is applied consistently in tandem with upbeat hues, materials such as bronze metal, bronze etched mirrors and warm timber finishes, symbolising a progressive, Malaysian heritage.
